I was a little disappointed I ordered the Texas forever sandwich and ordered it for pick up. It was supposed to come with two sides sandwich was just wrapped in paper and only 1 side was in the bag. Not what I would expect from an expensive sandwich that had hard pieces of fat in it. The hush puppies did not seem fresh and what used to be my favorite thing at Charlie and Jake's seemed hard as a rock with no butter.
Prime Rib Plate review by Sharon
Absolutely mouthwatering aroma greeted me when i picked up my to-go order. I was worried that my Prime Rib would be dry, but it was moist and juicy and rare, exactly as it should be. The natural au jus that came with it was warm, slightly salty and deliciously seasoned. I shared the fatty parts (standard on any prime rib to retain juices and flavor) with my doggos, and they gave it 4 paws up! My selected sides were collard greens and mac'n'cheese. both were smoky, flavorful and hearty accompaniments to the prime rib. I was thrilled with my meal.

Bbq Sandwich is always amazing!! Meat is always perfectly seasoned, sauces available are delicious. Generous portion including sides! Highly recommended.

Sunday, July 27th My granddaughter and I ordered takeout meals and we enjoyed their smash burgers. The person that took our order, Zoe sold us on their bread pudding. Best meal ever and the desert was awesome. Kudos to their chef of the day as our food was prepared perfectly. Those two girls rocked!!!

This was our first time there! Absolutely amazing! Our waitress Elise S, was excellent! She was so efficient, patient with me as I wasn't sure what to get! She knows the menu!! I had Texas Forever and it was delicious! We will be back again!

We had Charlie and Jake's handle the BBQ for our event, and they crushed it. The food was awesome—tender, smoky, and full of flavor. Everyone was raving about it. But what really stood out was the service. The team was super friendly, showed up on time, and made everything easy. They took care of setup and cleanup without a hitch, and they were great to work with throughout the whole process. You could tell they really cared about making sure everything went smoothly. If you're looking for great BBQ and even better service, I'd definitely recommend Charlie and Jake's.
St. Louis Style Ribs review by Prae4crowe
We had the full rack of ribs and the sides sampler. The ribs were as tender as a mother's love and delicious even before adding sauces. The sides--creamy slaw, fried okra with horseradish sauce, turnip greens, green beans, and macaroni & cheese--were all delicious! The hush puppies were almost as good as Daddy used to make. Our server, Mobeen, was attentive and knowledgeable.We have a new barbecue place!
